Since tomorrow is already August, I'm trying my hardest to wear every bright color in my closet, before it's time to resort back to darker hues (which I won't lie - I totally love). This dress immediately caught my eye because of the accordion pleats. So different and fun! They really enhance the shape, and the uneven hem completes an effortless silhouette.

Scarves are a year-round necessity for me. I think they make for the perfect last-layer, and I am not afraid of an over sized scarf. Seriously. The bigger the better. I gravitate wearing them bulky around my neck, no matter what season it is. I think I'm the only Southern California girl who wishes it rained more often, so my scarves would get more use!

How can it already be the end of July? The summer months always feel like they go so fast, don't they? Before you know it, we'll be trading sandals for boots and kimonos for leather jackets. While Fall has always been my favorite season, I will miss the simple things of summer fashion: denim shorts, a simple heel and all things nautical. You can never go wrong with these classic colors. Timeless and chic!

The soft color of this dress is what drew me in when I spotted it. It’s the perfect summer color. Its light and whimsical, with a touch of dreamy. For the past few months, I had been on the lookout for a particular tiered maxi dress from Zara. To my  utter disapointment  it was sold out everywhere. When I couldn’t search anymore, I stumbled upon this dress which is almost exactly the same as the one I had been obsessing over. The best part is, I ended up spending a lot less than I would have.

I wasn’t lying when I said that I’m addicted to kimonos right now, so trust me..this isn't the last one you are going to see :) I could not believe the price point on this one ($24!), so of course it would be a crime to pass it up. The colors are so beautiful and I am really loving the longer length. When you walk, the wind picks it up and WOW, it really makes a statement. I think every girl should have something in her closet that makes her feel feminine and pretty, and this is the piece that does that for me.

Impressions Online Boutique is one of my favorite places to shop. When I saw this off the shoulder top on their website, purchasing it was a no brainer for me. I've always been a sucker for a bell sleeve. Pairing this top with a simple short, makes for the perfect summer outfit :)

The 3 “B”’s of summer: BBQ, Beach, and Baseball! I grew up as an LA Dodger fan, and still am to this day. After the countless games I have been to, I was finally lucky enough to catch a fly ball last summer. Wow, do those things come in hard and fast! After it bounced off of my shoulder (ouch), it rolled to the ground, where I grabbed it as fast as I could before someone else took it. So, in reality I guess I didn’t actually catch a fly ball, but in the end it came home with me, so in my book -  it counts

I’ll be honest. I am currently obsessed with kimonos and have probably purchased more than I care to admit. There is something about the look and feel of them that I cannot get enough of. This one was the perfect blend of sheer fabric and loose sleeves. Besides being extremely comfortable, I love how effortless kimonos can make an outfit look. Just throw one on, and you’re done. That’s how summer dressing should be, right?

Floral Blazer

Lately, Ive been drawn to anything floral. There is something about that print that just screams SUMMER. I love that this particular blazer is bright and cheery, and only $32 from Forever 21. Now that’s a deal! Another great deal were these shorts. They really are the perfectly tailored shorts. It can be hard finding a pair that can be dressed up or down, but more importantly, that fit well. And the best part? They are currently on sale, lucky you!
